At John’s Crazy Socks, inclusive hiring isn’t charity — it’s smart business. With over half our team made up of people with differing abilities, we’ve built a high-performing workforce that drives results, delivers happiness, and proves that hiring inclusively raises standards and strengthens companies.

We're thrilled to share that John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, is featured in Down Syndrome Out Loud by Melissa Hart—a powerful new book celebrating the achievements of over 20 individuals with Down syndrome. We opt to close on Juneteenth, which is only natural for our organization. We celebrate diversity and inclusion. And just as importantly, we are a learning organization which means, in part, we are always trying to learn for our past so we can do better in the future.

How can a message of inclusion bring such division? How can a message of love bring out such hate? These questions haunt us every June as Pride month approaches and we prepare to celebrate what should be a time of joy and acceptance.

At John's Crazy Socks, we are on a mission to spread happiness, and much of that mission is based on inclusion. We want to champion the possibilities in each of us and in everyone we meet. It's only natural that we carry an array of Pride-themed socks. As John would say, they are colorful, creative, fun, and "let me be me."

Imagine working a full-time job and receiving a paycheck for $10 a week. Not $10 an hour, $10 for the entire week. For thousands of Americans with disabilities, this is reality. It is time to eliminate the subminimum wage.

At John’s Crazy Socks, we believe every voice should be heard at the polls. Our co-founder, John Cronin, who has Down syndrome, leads by example as an active and informed voter. Learn about the importance of accessible voting for people with differing abilities and how we can all help make democracy more inclusive.

John’s Crazy Socks joined forces with WALK 97.5 for a sock-stuffing showdown filled with color, excitement, and laughter. Seven contestants battled it out to see who could pull on the most socks in 30 seconds—with American Ninja Warrior Nick taking the crown! From fun moments with Anna and Raven to inspiring words from John and Mark Cronin, the event was a celebration of joy, inclusion, and what people can achieve when we lead with fun and purpose.

New hires at John’s Crazy Socks don’t just clock in on their first day—they’re welcomed with open arms. The company has established two heartfelt traditions to mark this special moment: a business card presentation and a first paycheck ceremony.

These rituals may be simple, but they send a powerful message: You are valued. You matter. We’re so glad you’re here.
