John and Mark X. Cronin, the father-son team that founded John's Crazy Socks, gave a speech that mixed the inspirational and the practical, leaving people laughing, shedding a few tears and, in the end, standing to applaud.   
Mark X. Cronin, John’s partner and father, often says that John is a natural entrepreneur. Now, Go Solo, an online journal for entrepreneurs, has featured John and Mark in their digital publication. 
On Friday, Adelphi University’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business's (WSB) Business Plan Competition awarded $11,000 in prize money to recognize student entrepreneurs. John and Mark X. Cronin from John’s Crazy Socks served as judges for the contest for the second consecutive year.
John and Mark X. Cronin spoke to the entrepreneurship students at Long Island University – C.W. Post bringing their blend of inspiration, know-how and social entrepreneur strategy. John and Mark are the father and son team that co-founded John’s Crazy Socks, a social enterprise they have built into the world’s largest sock store.
Adelphi University's 2022 Business Plan Competition took place on Tuesday, April 26 and awarded $11,000 in prize money to help three student entrepreneurs grow their businesses. John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, served on the judges panel in assessing the student business plans and presentations.
On Friday, John and Mark X. Cronin, the co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, met with the leadership of the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Foundation to discuss entrepreneurial initiatives serving the intellectuals with developmental disabilities (IDD) community. They were part of a showcase convened in Hyannis Port by the Kennedy Foundation that brought together eight of the most promising IDD startups in the world alongside a world-changing group of investors, policymakers, industry leaders, and IDD experts.

John Cronin and his partner and father, Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John's Crazy Socks, completed a week-long tour of Canada where they spoke on inclusion and entrepreneurship. The tour was arranged by the U.S. State Department as part of the Department’s U.S. Speaker’s Program.
John Cronin, the co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Long Island Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EONY LI). John earned this honor due to his co-founding of John’s Crazy Socks and leadership that has seen his business create 39 jobs and earn over $5 million last year. At age 23, John demonstrates every day what people with Down syndrome can accomplish.
