If you are under the age of 18 then your design must be submitted by a parent or guardian.

Official Contest Rules
Eligibility
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants must reside in the United States
- Applicants must create their own designs and must own the rights to his or her design
- Each person can submit up to two designs
- Employees of John’s Crazy Socks are not eligible
Application Process
- All applications must be submitted through the John’s Crazy Socks website
- Applicants must complete an online form to provide contact information
- Applicants must upload a picture of his or her design
- Applicants must acknowledge that he or she owns the rights to the design
- Applicants must acknowledge that they will abide by the contest rules
- Designs must be submitted in JPG or PNG format. Other formats will not be considered.
Ownership of Designs
- The ownership of the designs remains with the designer and John’s Crazy Socks does not claim ownership of submitted designs
- Submitting an entry gives John’s Crazy Socks the right to use the design
- If your design is selected as the winner, you agree to give John’s Crazy Socks the right to use the design
- The only compensation for the design is the prize awarded through the contest
- The ownership of the designs remains with the designer and John’s Crazy Socks does not claim ownership of submitted designs
- Submitting an entry gives John’s Crazy Socks the right to use the design
- If your design is selected as the winner, you agree to give John’s Crazy Socks the right to use the design

Design Guidelines
- Designs should take inspiration from the theme “Spreading Happiness”
- Design socks that will make people feel happy when worn
- Each applicant can submit up to 2 designs
- Maximum 1 prize per person
- Sock style will be crew
- Be bold. Have fun. Be creative.
- Think of designs full of joy
- Maximum 1 prize per person
- We are looking for originality
- Designs cannot include any copyrighted or trademarked images
- Socks are a unique product to design. Design options to avoid include:
- More than 6 colors are hard to translate into a sock design
- Shading colors or gradients cannot be successfully knitted
- Fine imagery cannot be successfully knitted
Requirements of the Winners
- The first prize winner agrees to allow John’s Crazy Socks to use his or her design
- Winners agree to provide a profile photo to John’s Crazy socks for use in promoting this contest
- The winners agree to allow their names, pictures, towns, and states to be used by John’s Crazy Socks
- This winners’ information will be used in announcing the winners and promoting this contest
