Shipping Policy (Handling Too)

Like everything else we do, we want to get this right for you. We will keep it simple and easy. We know what the big guys are doing and we know that even though we are only a Father and Son business, we are competing against the Amazons and the L.L. Beans of the world, so we have to be just as good as them or even better.

There’s handling as well as shipping

Getting our socks to you is more than simply throwing them in a package and sending them on their way. We carefully prepare each package. We want you to look forward to getting our socks and to be excited when they arrive. We take great care in how we package our socks. We want to make sure they arrive safe and sound at your door step, plus we put some surprises inside each package for you to make the experience all the better.

It’s simple really: the more love we share with you, the more you will love John’s Crazy Socks.

Where do we ship?

For now, we only ship to the U.S. (including all 50 states, Guam and Puerto Rico) and Canada. We put our plans for worldwide distribution (domination?) on hold until we prove we can get it right here in the U.S. But stick with us and soon enough, we will ship our socks to every corner of the world (if a globe has corners).

How do we process orders?

We normally ship the same day that an order arrives,but currently we are dealing with some rapid growth, so now we are shipping two to three days after receiving an order. We expect to be back to same day shipping by April 5.  

When we place an online order, we can’t wait to get our time so we want you to get your socks as fast as possible. Here is our standard processing policy: 

  • Orders received before 3 p.m. (Eastern Time) on weekdays ship the same day.
  • Orders received after 3 p.m. on weekdays go out the next day.
  • Orders received on the weekend or after 3 p.m. on Friday go out on Monday.

There may be some exceptions, but they would be described on the product page for the socks you ordered.

Free and Fast Shipping on Orders $25 or More in the U.S. 

We offer free shipping on all orders of $25 or more in the U.S. . We ship via the United States Postal Service. You will receive your package within 1 - 3 days and we provide tracking. We apologize to our Canadian friends, but we cannot extend the free shipping north of the border. 

What does shipping cost?

  • We charge the shipping that the U.S. Postal Service charges us. You will see the actual amount in your checkout process.
  • Purchase $25 or more and shipping is free in the U.S. (Who wants just one pair of socks? Buy a few pair and you get free shipping.) We apologize to our Canadian friends, but we cannot extend the free shipping north of the border.

What If I Want Overnight Shipping? 

If you want it faster, we can send it via Express Mail, but then you have to pay for that services. We keep that prices simple too: Express Mail (overnight): $22.95

Want to Know More about our Shipping and Handling?

Our operations are located in Huntington New York on Long Island. You send us your order; we pull it that day (or at least, Monday through Friday). Every weekday, around 4:30 p.m., we make a delivery to the local Post Office. Our namesake, John, is in charge of getting the packages to the Post Office. He has training and experience in handling postage and he’s a tough taskmaster. Seems pretty simple because it is. We know getting the shipping right is important because we hate it when we don’t receive our packages as promised. And once you order our socks, we know you will want to get those on your feet as fast as possible.
