Dr. Dave Bennardo, newly elected to the Huntington Town Council, stopped by John’s Crazy Socks today for a visit and to learn more about our business. Their visit included a tour and a discussion about social enterprises and hiring people with differing abilities.

Kim and the Sleepy Coffee Too team held a fundraiser on World Down Syndrome Day and the event featured a talk from John and Mark X. Cronin of John’s Crazy Socks. Supporters packed the room at J.P. Doyles restaurant to help Sleepy Coffee Too get off the ground and to hear the Cronins speak.
On Monday, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, had a day he will remember for the rest of his life. The New York State Legislature took time on World Down Syndrome Day to pass a resolution celebrating John and John’s Crazy Socks. 
In February 2022, we raised $8,388.47 for our charity partners. Through February 2022, we have now raised more than $496,824 for our charity partners. Giving Back is an essential part of our mission and we are excited by our ability to support others. We continue to learn that the more we can give, the happier we are.

At John’s Crazy Socks, we love the National Down Syndrome Society and at the annual NDSS gala, we showed that love by auctioning off the opportunity to design custom socks with John. That auction item raised $20,000 for the NDSS.

John Cronin is on a mission to spread happiness and he did just that in his visit to Washington Drive Primary School in Centerport, New York. John brought pure joy when he visited the students in Ms. Kelly Lewis’s special education classroom. John told his story, danced and shared hugs with the students.
John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, spoke this morning at conference held by the Ramah Camping Movement. The conference focused on ways the nationwide chain of Jewish camps can support their staff. John and Mark spoke at a session focused on Ramah’s Tikvah programs that include young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the camps through vocational training and supported employment.
