On Saturday, the snowshoe Special Olympic athletes competed in races held on the beach at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington, NY. John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, and Andrew Oh, one of our Sock Wranglers competed in the snowshoe races.
John and Mark X. Cronin spoke to the entrepreneurship students at Long Island University – C.W. Post bringing their blend of inspiration, know-how and social entrepreneur strategy. John and Mark are the father and son team that co-founded John’s Crazy Socks, a social enterprise they have built into the world’s largest sock store.
In January 2023, we raised $4,812.35 for our charity partners. Through January 2023, we have now raised more than $567,852 for our charity partners. Giving Back is an essential part of our mission, and we are excited by our ability to support others. We continue to learn that the more we can give, the happier we are.
Friday evening, John Cronin donned his finest suit and best dancing shoes so he could join the Night to Shine Prom in Kershaw, South Carolina. John attended as a special guest so he could share inspiration, encouragement and happiness with the attendees.
Last night, the Town of Babylon turned the lights at Town Hall purple and held an event to support P.S. I Love You Day and to recognize the work of the DiPalma family. They asked John Cronin to join them because John’s Crazy Socks makes P.S. I Love You Socks to support their organization.
John Cronin delivered another donation check to the Special Olympics on Wednesday on behalf of John's Crazy Socks. What makes this donation all the more sweet is that John is not only the co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, but he is a Special Olympic athlete too.
