Kim and the Sleepy Coffee Too team held a fundraiser on World Down Syndrome Day and the event featured a talk from John and Mark X. Cronin of John’s Crazy Socks. Supporters packed the room at J.P. Doyles restaurant to help Sleepy Coffee Too get off the ground and to hear the Cronins speak.
On Monday, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, had a day he will remember for the rest of his life. The New York State Legislature took time on World Down Syndrome Day to pass a resolution celebrating John and John’s Crazy Socks.
John Cronin is on a mission to spread happiness and he did just that in his visit to Washington Drive Primary School in Centerport, New York. John brought pure joy when he visited the students in Ms. Kelly Lewis’s special education classroom. John told his story, danced and shared hugs with the students.
This afternoon, John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, spoke to staff and clients at the Pike County Development Center in Milford, Pennsylvania. The father-son entrepreneurs inspired the students and offered hope that there are jobs waiting for the students.
SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) has announced that John and Mark X. Cronin, the father and son co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, will join the roster of top-tier professional voices as part of the SHRM Speakers Bureau in 2022.
John and Mark X. Cronin, the co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, came to Worcester, Massachusetts to deliver socks and happiness to the College of the Holy Cross. Mark is a graduate of Holy Cross (Class of 1980), so the journey back to his alma mater carried special meaning. The Cronins were busy during their visit as they delivered socks to the Office of Advancement for use in a fundraising campaign, met with new President Vincent D. Rougeau and spoke to students in the Entrepreneurs Program

Cronin, the father-son team behind John’s Crazy Socks, rose to that challenge in their TEDx Talk entitled, Differently Abled People Want to Help Us. Their TEDx Talk offered a simple yet powerful idea: people with differing abilities are not waiting for our help as much as they are waiting to help us.

The father and son team answered two basic questions: what makes a happy employee? And why does it matter? And they shared their 5 pillars on creating a happy work environment.
John and Mark X. Cronin, the co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, will deliver the keynote address at “Catch the Wave,” the 2021 SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) Long Island Chapter Conference. This will be the largest conference of its kind on Long Island.
Vanderbilt University has asked John and Mark X. Cronin to give a speech at the graduation ceremony for the Next Steps program. Leading entrepreneurs and advocates for the rights of the disabled, the Cronins are excited to both congratulate the graduates on their achievement and to inspire them to make their mark on the world.
