We started November with a bang when John and Mark made an appearance on Fox and Friends and continued as people shopped for Christmas presents and celebrated our Week of Gratitude.  As a result, in November, we raised $8,815 for our charity partners.
Instead of yelling about sales at Thanksgiving, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, had a better idea: “I want to say thanks by donating money to the Special Olympics.” John has Down syndrome and is an active Special Olympics athlete. “I love the Special Olympics.”

June was another good month here at John’s Crazy Socks which means we were able to raise money for our charity partners. We’re on a mission to spread happiness and one of the best ways we do that is raising money for our charity partners. Giving is always better than receiving.

We have a mission to spread happiness through socks so we put together a list of seven ways we can help bring you a smile this summer:

  1. Hug a friend just because. I love giving out hugs.
  2. Find socks that let you be you. That always makes me smile.
  3. Give socks to a friend because that will make you both smile.

Every business has to answer the question, “Why?” Why this business? Why this approach? What motivates you to start the venture and what will help you power through the inevitable bumps along the way? For John’s Crazy Socks, the inspiration comes from our namesake, John Cronin. It is a story of love, an openness to adventure, a sense of self expressed through fashion and a desire to spread joy. Those are hallmarks of John’s life and they are what motivates and shapes John’s Crazy Socks.
Here at John’s Crazy Socks, we’re serious about our support for the Special Olympics. On November 19, our namesake John jumped into freezing water as part of a Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. He raised over $600 that day.
