Forget Prime Day, It’s John Day (August 11) at John’s Crazy Socks

Amazon may have their Prime Day, but John’s Crazy Socks has our John Day. We mark our co-founder John Cronin’s half birthday – August 11 – by celebrating John Day, a day on which we give back to our customers and say thank you for all their support.

“I am so grateful for our customers,” said John. “They make it possible to hire our colleagues with differing abilities, more than half my colleagues have a differing ability. They make it possible for us to Give Back, so we have donated over $650,000 to our charity partners. Most of all, they help us spread happiness.”

At John’s Crazy Socks, we’re on a mission to spread happiness. And John always says that the keys to happiness are doing for others and gratitude.  John Day embodies both ideas: we are giving to our customers and showing our gratitude.

The Magic of John Day

John Day is held on August 11, so we are giving everyone 11 percent off on every order. “We want to say thank you for all our customers and giving them a discount is one way we can say thank you,” said John.

Throughout the day, John will call customers to say thank you for placing their order. “I love talking to our customers,” said John.

And everyone who places an order on John Day will be entered in a raffle to receive a super Box of Socks from John.

About John’s Crazy Socks

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $650,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America. Most of all, they are Spreading Happiness™.
