John’s Crazy Socks Welcomes the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism as a New Charity Partner

At John’s Crazy Socks, we believe in doing more than selling socks—we believe in Spreading Happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.That’s why we are thrilled to announce the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism as our newest charity partner in our  Giving Back Program.

Startingthis month, which is Autism Awareness Month, we will donate 10 percent from the sale of all our autism-themed products to the Flutie Foundation. That means every time you buy a pair of our Autism Awareness Socksyou’ll be supporting this remarkable organization and helping people with autism live life to the fullest.

A Partnership Rooted in Shared Values

The Flutie Foundation has been a long-time supporter of our Autism Can Do Scholarship, which awards scholarships to talented individuals on the autism spectrum. Their continued partnership helps us shine a light on the achievements of individuals with autism and support their education and career goals.

“We have a strong commitment to our colleagues with autism and to the autism community at large,” said Mark X. Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. “Our ability to donate funds and support the Flutie Foundation is a step forward in that commitment.”

John Cronin, our co-founder and inspiration, added, “I love the work the Flutie Foundation does and am so happy we can help support their work.”

The Flutie Foundation: Creating a Better World for People with Autism

Founded by former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife Laurie, the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism was inspired by their son Dougie, who was diagnosed with autism at age three. Since its founding in 1998, the Flutie Foundation has distributed more than $20 million to support therapies, job training, education, safety tools, and recreational opportunities for people on the autism spectrum.

Nick Savarese, Executive Director of the Flutie Foundation, said, “We have long admired John’s CrazySocks and appreciate their support and encouragement. It will make a difference in our efforts to support the autism community.”
