We love World Down Syndrome Day because it is a celebration of all things Down syndrome and because people wear crazy socks to celebrate the Day. Since John’s Crazy Socks was founded by a young entrepreneur who has Down syndrome, we celebrate the day and do all we can to help others celebrate the day too.
Many schools, organizations and businesses recognize World Down Syndrome Day by wearing crazy socks and holding special events. We are here to help with socks but also a virtual visit from John, concierge services, discounts and even a fundraising program.
World Down Syndrome Day
Recognized as an international day of celebration by the United Nations (U.N.), World Down Syndrome Day is March 21. That date was chosen because having three number 21 chromosomes causes Down syndrome, thus the date is 3-21. John appeared at the U.N. World Down Syndrome Day event in March 2018.
People around the world celebrate Down Syndrome Day to raise awareness about Down syndrome and to advocate for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down syndrome. It is a day of joyous celebration with a serious message of acceptance and inclusion.
For nearly a decade, people have been wearing crazy socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. Colorful and creative socks express the uniqueness and joy of people with Down syndrome.

Raise Funds for Your Non-Profit: If you are looking to raise money for your organization, we can help. We offer a Charity Fundraising Program that is fun, easy and touchless so it is perfect for the pandemic. If you join the program, we give you a charity code for your organization.
