John’s Crazy Introduces Gold Together Socks to Fight Pediatric Cancer

John Cronin started John’s Crazy Socks with a mission to spread happiness. And that’s exactly what he is doing with his new line of Gold Together Socks that raise awareness and funds to fight pediatric campaign. The socks support the American Cancer Society’s Gold Together Campaign which honors children and their families as they battle cancer, celebrates those who beat it and supports research to defeat it.

“I know it is hard for children to be in the hospital. I want them to get better, I want them to feel happy,” said John. “That’s why I made these socks.”

John’s Crazy Socks has made a commitment to support the Gold Together Campaign. The profits from the Gold Together Socks go to the American Cancer Society. John’s Crazy Socks customers can turn their Loyalty and Reward points into a donation to the Gold Together Campaign and can make an additional donation to the American Cancer Society when purchasing socks.

John and Cole

The Gold Together movement was created by childhood brain cancer survivor Cole Eicher. His vision is to raise childhood cancer awareness, support families facing childhood cancer, and connect those families to a lifetime of resources through the American Cancer Society.

John met with Cole and committed to creating Gold Together Socks that raise awareness about pediatric cancer and funds for the American Cancer Society.

Cole said, “I love the Gold Together socks, they are so cool and will make a difference in our campaign.”

There are nine different Gold Together Socks with different designs that include symbols like the gold ribbon. They are bright, colorful and bring joy to everyone who wears them

As part of his support for the effort to beat pediatric cancer, John delivered socks to the patients at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago and Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center in New York.

“I want to make the children smile,” said John.

Amy Threesfeld, Director of Corporate Relations said, “It is an honor to witness the happiness John brings to others and genuineness of giving from his heart.”

John’s co-founder and father, Mark X. Cronin, explains, “While John has fortunately not had cancer, he was very sick as a young child and spent weeks in the intensive care unit while undergoing major surgery. We understand what that can be like for a young patient and his or her family. Cole’s idea to start the Gold Together Campaign inspired us to do all we can to support his efforts.”
