Applicants can now apply for the Autism Can Do Scholarship for 2022. Co-sponsored by John’s Crazy Socks and the Doug Flutie. Jr Foundation for Autism the program provides a $5,000 grant to a person on the autism spectrum to use to advance his or her education. Applications are due by March 25.
John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, strapped on his snowshoes and competed in the first ever Special Olympics Snowshoe Competition on Long Island. Given the lack of snow on Long Island, the athletes raced on the sand at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington, NY.

Like all not-for-profits, The Whaling Museum and Education Center in Cold Spring Harbor, NY is always looking for innovative ways to raise funds. This year, the Whaling Museum teamed with John’s Crazy Socks for a creative and fun fundraiser that not only raised funds for the museum, but also created stronger connections with museum supporters. John’s Crazy Socks provided special Whale Socks that the museum used as thank you gifts for donations. Donors could give to the museum and receive a fun pair of Whale socks in return. It was a big hit.
World Down Syndrome Day – March 21 – will soon be here. It is an opportunity to raise awareness and celebrate people with Down syndrome and an opportunity to promote inclusion. And how do people celebrate World Down Syndrome Day? By wearing crazy socks.
