The Swedish Down Syndrome Association and Down Syndrome Norway combined efforts to organize an online conference with John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, as the featured speakers. The event gathered parents, advocates and people with Down syndrome to hear John and Mark’s inspirational story and to hear success stories about the employment of people with Down syndrome.

There is an awful reality that confronts people with Dwon syndrome and their families: nearly every person with Down syndrome will develop Alzheimer’s. Despite this foreboding future, people with Down syndrome are barred from the promising trials of drugs to address Alzheimer's disease, drugs that could change the future for thousands of people with Down syndrome. This inequity needs to change. 

After listening to Taylor Swift’s music for years, John will proudly share that he is a Swiftie.

John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, returned to Boston this past weekend to continue his participation in a medical research study of people with Down syndrome. 

Tyreek Hill, the star wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins received a $7,000 fine for not wearing socks. John Cronin, who loves socks so much that he started his very own sock company, John’s Crazy Socks, thought that was crazy. John sent a box of his socks to Tyreek Hill.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to celebrate the achievements of people with differing abilities in the workplace. Yet there is a stain on the celebration because the sub-minimum wage persists and we have people in this country paid as little as $0.25 an hour simply because they have a disability. It is past time that we eliminated the sub-minimum wage.
Last night, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, attended a fundraiser for the annual Sorrentino Family Turkey Drive. This marks the 15th year that Andre Sorrentino and his family have run the largest Thanksgiving food drive in the area.
