John’s Crazy Socks Makes Our First TV Ad

In his ongoing effort to spread more happiness and show more people what's possible, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, has filmed his first TV commercial.  This ad was made possible by a grant from King Quality, the region’s largest home remodeling company. The Altice USA Corporation is also supporting this initiative. The TV ad is running on cable stations throughout the Long Island region. You can see it below.

“I loved making this commercial,” said John. “I had so much fun making it with my Dad and with Jeff Brett from King Quality. I am so grateful to Jeff for making this possible.”

King Quality and King Quality Cares

King Quality is the largest home remodeling company in the northeast providing complete home services including roofing, siding and windows. Founder Jeff Brett commits to excellence and to giving back to the community. He wants to have a positive impact on the community and that has led him to create a new foundation, King Quality Cares

Jeff Brett explains the motivation behind creating King Quality Cares. “We see so much need and so much good on Long Island, we want to do our part to promote social and environmental sustainability, thus ensuring a better future for all.”

Jeff Brett sees so many organizations doing good in the community that he decided to set up a program to highlight the work of these organizations and to help them gain more exposure. Working with the Altice Corporation, Jeff created a grant program that provides a marketing boost including the filming of a TV ad and $50,000 worth of an ad buy across a full month. The first organization that King Quality Cares chose for this program was John’s Crazy Socks

Jeff asked his staff for recommendations for organizations they should consider for the grant. The most popular organization was John’s Crazy Socks. Jeff said, “The more we learned about your mission and what you do, the more we fell in love with John’s Crazy Socks.”

In a letter sent to John’s Crazy Socks, Jeff Brett wrote: “We applaud your community leadership and efforts and would like to support your efforts and help raise awareness of the work you do by providing a marketing grant from King Quality Cares.”

Making the TV Ad

Jeff, John and John’s co-founder and father, Mark X. Cronin, filmed the 30-second ad at the brand-new Altice studios in Bethpage. Dave Widmer, representing Altice, pulled everything together. John served as the role model for Jeff and Mark in showing how to speak their lines clearly and hit their marks.

“Working with Dave, Jeff and the teams at Altice and King Quality has been a dream,” said Mark X. Cronin. “Their generosity and support are overwhelming.”

About John’s Crazy Socks

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store.
