John’s Crazy Socks Introduces the First Series of Johnism Socks

John here. I walk around saying a lot of things. Now, I am taking my words and turning them into socks. Linda, our Happiness Imagineer, calls what I say, “John-isms,” so now we have socks called John-sim socks. And because I love the Special Olympics, $1 from every pair sold of the John-ism Socks goes to the Special Olympics. We’re spreading happiness and I hope these socks make you happy.

 

Johnism #1 - Nothing Holds Me Back

I have Down syndrome, but Down syndrome never holds me back. I want everyone to know that nothing holds me back. So we made a sock with my saying, “Nothing Holds Me Back.”

Down syndrome never stopped me from going to school or playing sports in the Special Olympics or starting my own business. Nothing holds me back. John’s Crazy Socks is a company that shows that nothing will hold me back.

I hope you wear these socks and you too can say, “Nothing holds me back.” My brother Patrick says wearing these socks makes him feel stronger and more powerful. I hope they make you feel stronger too. Wear these socks as a reminder to never let anything hold you back from living your fullest, happiest life – no matter what obstacles or challenges you face.

 

 

Johnism #2 – Socks, Socks, and More Socks

Back in December 2016, when my Dad and I were first working on our store John’s Crazy Socks, I used to make videos talking about our business. I came up with my own catch phrase.

My Dad would ask, “What will people find at John’s Crazy Socks?

I would say, “Socks, socks, and more socks!” 

Soon, people starting yelling at me, “Socks, Socks and more Socks.” I loved it. If made me so happy to think of people wearing my socks and saying “Socks, socks and more socks.”

And it is true. We have almost 2,000 different socks at John’s Crazy Socks. We really have socks, socks and more socks.

 

Johnism #3 – Eye Candy

My “Eye Candy” socks are for my friend Andrew, because we call him Eye Candy. Maybe you know someone who is Eye Candy.

If you know about John’s Crazy Socks and you watch our videos, you will have seen my friend Andrew. We went to school together and Andrew plays Special Olympics with me. We are on the same snowshoe and basketball teams.  Now Andrew works at John’s Crazy Socks. He doesn’t always like to talk in the videos, but he always looks good, so we call him Eye Candy.

I wanted to make these socks for my friend Andrew and call them Eye Candy. They are for everyone out there who may not talk a lot but looks good just like Andrew.
