At John’s Crazy Socks, we have loyal customers who love their socks. Our customers are full of ideas for colorful, fun socks and we want to see those ideas. We want you to let loose your inner sock designer. Enter our 2024 Sock Design Contest and let us see your design.
The 2024 Sock Design Contest has a top prize of $1,000 cash. Even better, John will produce your socks, we will sell them in our store and you will become sock famous.

The 2024 Sock Design Contest: Show us Your Dream Socks
You have some ideas for socks. Socks you can see in your mind and we can make a reality. Enter our Sock Design Contest and show us your vision of an awesome pair of socks. It is easy to do:
- You go to the Sock Contest Design Page at the John’s Crazy Socks website.
- Click on the entry form.
- Fill out the simple entry form, attach a picture of your sock design and submit.
It is that easy. The deadline to submit an entry is August 15, 2024.
And no, you do not need to be a graphic artist or professional sock designer to win. None of our past winners has been a graphic artist. All you need is a great idea for a wonderful pair of socks.
A few guidelines:
- To apply, you need to be eighteen or older.
- You must own the design. No using other people’s trademark ideas.
- We ask you to upload either a JPG or PNG file.

Winning the 2024 Sock Design Contest
We expect to receive many entries for the Sock Design Conest, but yours can stand out. And we offer great prizes:
- First Place: You win $1,000 and we will make your socks. We can’t wait to send you socks with designs you made. Your socks will instantly become part of our Giving Back Program. We will connect your socks to a charity partner and donate 10 percent from the sale of those socks to that charity partner. When you win, we will make you internet famous and a philanthropist.
- Second Place: You will receive a $100 gift certificate to John’s Crazy Socks and acknowledgement in our social media and web postings.
- Third Place: You will receive a $50 gift certificate to our online store and acknowledgement in our social media and web postings.
Previous Sock Design Contest Winners
Last year, the winning design came from Jerome Scriptunas of Freehold, New Jersey who put tree images on a sock. These led to our Plant Trees Athletic Crew Socks. Those socks support our new charity partner, the New York Restoration Project, a nonprofit nature conservancy stewarding parks, community gardens, and green space throughout New York City.
In 2022, Erin and Bear Bonner designed the Wheels on Fire socks that have become a customer favorite. Those socks support the Viscardi Center. And the 2021 winner, Sierra Sapack, designed ASL I Love You socks using images from American Sign Language and they raise money for the Lexington School for the Deaf.
