"Out of my way, mortals!”  Would you ever say that?  Even under your breath?  Putting these socks on in the morning is a way of expressing this sentiment without sounding like an egotistical maniac.  But couldn’t we all benefit with a healthy dose of Out of my way, mortals?  Because to me, it translates into Self Confidence.

Joe Namath was once quoted as saying, “When you have confidence you can have a lot of fun.  And when you have fun you can do amazing things.”  These socks are definitely fun, in a way that men seldom express.  

What Namath is saying is: Don’t compare yourself to others.  Don’t stress the little things—relax!  Remember you are a gift, a superhero in your own way.  Look for the good, even in seemingly negative situations.  Do what you love.

I challenge anyone to put these socks on without smiling.  We may, somewhere down deep, feel like saying, Out of my way, mortals.  During the course of the day, you may remember this sentiment and smile again.  It not only means you have the confidence to do what you do, but that you are on your way.  Moving and steering yourself in any direction you decide, not just thinking about it. 

And when you pull the socks off at night, you can decide, did I leap past those mere mortals?  Then you can smile again.
