At John’s Crazy Socks, we strive every day to show what people with differing abilities can do. As part of that effort, we host tours – both in-person and virtually – and workgroups from schools and social service agencies. We want students and clients with differing abilities to see for themselves work they can do and work available to them.
John, joined by his partner and father Mark and Maria Lerner, the Community Organizer for John’s Crazy Socks, spent the morning at the Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL). They joined elected officials, teachers, children from camps and fans for the unveiling of a new animatronic dinosaur.
One way that John shows his gratitude to the Special Olympics is to donate money from his business to support the organization. Last week, John visited with Diane Colonna, the Vice President for Downstate Operations in for New York State Special Olympics to deliver a donation check.
In June 2022, we raised $1,818.49 for our charity partners. Through June 2022, we have now raised more than $521,644 for our charity partners. Giving Back is an essential part of our mission, and we are excited by our ability to support others. We continue to learn that the more we can give, the happier we are.
Last Friday, John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, traveled to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to enroll in a medical research study examining the connection between people with Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease.
