Giving Back Report for August 2023

In August 2023, we raised $7,611.30 for our charity partners. Through August 2023, we have now raised more than $641,912 for our charity partners. Giving Back is an essential part of our mission, and we are excited by our ability to support others. We continue to learn that the more we can give, the happier we are.

John Meets Candidates for Election at Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, rose early to attend a networking breakfast held by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. It was a meet-the-candidate event with elected officials and candidates for Town and County races in attendance.

It was an important opportunity to make his voice heard. John spoke with the candidates about his business and about issues affecting people with differing abilities.

John and Mark Present Police Tribute Socks to the Nassau County Police Activity League (PAL)

On Friday night, John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, visited the Nassau County Police Activity League (PAL) basketball program. John presented his Police Tribute Socks to the Police Officers running the program and handed out socks to the athletes in the basketball program.

John’s Crazy Socks has introduced Police Tribute Socks that celebrate and honor police officers. John’s Crazy Socks donates 10 percent from the sale of the Police Tribute Socks to the Police Activity League (PAL) of Nassau County.

For millions of Americans, a bill introduced last week in Congress is a path to greater independence. The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Savings Penalty Elimination Act would increase asset limits to $10,000 for individual beneficiaries, $20,000 for married couples, and annually adjust for inflation.

John Gives Athletic Socks to His Special Olympic Soccer Teammates

John’s Crazy Socks has introduced a line of Athletic Socks and John Cronin, co-founder and inspiration for John’s Crazy Socks, could not wait to give his soccer teammates a pair of those socks. Saturday at the end of practice for the HBC Special Olympic Soccer Team, John got all his teammates together, thanked them and began handing out the athletic socks.

John’s Crazy Socks is now offering our own line of Athletic Socks. These are great socks that you can wear every day. I wear them at my soccer practice and when I am practicing basketball for the Special Olympics, but you can wear them any time. I wear them when I am walking around town.
