John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, is a strong advocate for the rights of people with Down syndrome.It is not surprising that John jumped at an invitation to join a call with self-advocates from the United Kingdom to share experiences and discuss approaches to self-determination.
John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, brought their message of inclusion and hope to the human resource committee of the Hauppauge Industrial Association, one of the largest business groups in the northeast United States.
At their heart, John and Mark X. Cronin, the father and son team that co-founded John’s Crazy Socks, are entrepreneurs so they relish the opportunity to speak with other entrepreneurs. That’s why they meet each semester with the students in the entrepreneurship program at the Rhode Island Developmental Disabilities Council (RIDDC).
For the past 22 years, John Cronin has competed in the Special Olympics. John is also the founder of John's Crazy Socks and to show his appreciation for the Special Olympics he has made them a charity partner for his company. This week, John delivered the quarterly donation check to the Special Olympics.
