I am the Co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer at John’s Crazy Socks. People ask what I do so I thought I would share some of the things I do at work. It is Friday, so let me tell you about this week.
John and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, brought inspiration and hands-on know-how to the students in the West Hempstead High School Fashion Program.
Our very own John Cronin will appear in the bright lights of Broadway on Saturday, September 17, as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) Times Square Video presentation.
The New York Stock Exchange invites leading companies to ring the closing bell at the end of the trading day and on Monday, August 8, John Cronin, Co-Founder of John’s Crazy Socks, stood with Rod Martin, CEO of Voya Financial, to ring the closing bell on behalf of the CEO Commission for Employment Disability as part of an ongoing effort to promote disability-inclusive employment.
At John’s Crazy Socks, we strive every day to show what people with differing abilities can do. As part of that effort, we host tours – both in-person and virtually – and workgroups from schools and social service agencies. We want students and clients with differing abilities to see for themselves work they can do and work available to them.
Every day, we work to show what people with differing abilities can do. We make this commitment because we want to make a better world for people like John and our colleagues with differing abilities. The world is better today for people with differing abilities though we still have a long way to go. The next frontier is the trio of jobs, housing and community.
Inclusion makes us a better business. It helps us recruit employees and, in a time, when many employers cannot find enough good workers, our commitment to inclusion measures we always have enough good applicants for our job openings.
