Vanderbilt University has asked John and Mark X. Cronin to give a speech at the graduation ceremony for the Next Steps program. Leading entrepreneurs and advocates for the rights of the disabled, the Cronins are excited to both congratulate the graduates on their achievement and to inspire them to make their mark on the world.
At John’s Crazy Socks, we have a mission to show what people with differing abilities can achieve. One way we carry out that mission is to advocate for policy, legislative and regulatory changes to support people with differing abilities. This week, John and Mark X. Cronin, our co-founders, met with two members of Congress to push for key legislative changes that advance the rights of people with differing abilities.
John created his Unity Socks to remind us all that we have more in common than we do differences. John designed the Unity Socks with American flags spread across a field of blue to symbolize the unity and inclusion that binds all Americans. As John said, “Let’s do something to bring people together and make them happy.”
John’s Crazy Socks has joined the CEO Commission for Disability Employment, making a commitment to work with other leading firms to expand equal employment rights for people with disabilities.
John Cronin and his partner and father, Mark X. Cronin, traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with Congressional leaders on the rights of people with differing abilities. Advocacy is part of the mission at John’s Crazy Socks.
