As part of his recognition of World Down Syndrome Day Senator Chuck Schumer gave a shout out to John’s Crazy Socks from the Senate Floor.
To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, Senator Charles Schumer wore a pair of Down Syndrome Awareness Socks given him by a friend. John’s Crazy Socks made those socks. Here is Senator Schumer wearing the socks.
Senator Schumer then took to the Senate floor to speak about World Down Syndrome Day and he recognized John’s Crazy Socks saying:
These socks come from a company on Long Island called John's Crazy Socks run by a man with Down syndrome who makes socks to help raise awareness for the condition. So, not only are they a great pair of socks, they're also for a great cause.
We thank Senator Schumer for the recognition and his ongoing support of people with Down syndrome and our business.
Here is John presenting Senator Schumer with the Champion of Change Award from the National Down Syndrome Society in 2019.

About John’s Crazy Socks
John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $550,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America.
