Patrick has been working as a Sock Wrangler at John’s Crazy Socks since November 2018 and he's back for our busy holiday season. He answered a few questions so that we can get to know him better.
Do you have a nickname?
Pat, but no one calls me that.
What do you like to be called?
Patrick.
Do you have brothers or sisters?
I have an older brother who works in the city and a younger sister who is in college.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
Long Island, New York
What do you like to do outside of work?
I work out and play video games, especially Super Mario. I also take care of my dog, Mia. She’s a black pug who is 7 ½ years old. She was born in 2015 and we got her in February 2016.
What are your favorite movies?
Marvel movies
What are your favorite TV shows?
Chicago series like Chicago PD, Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. My mom is a huge fan and sometimes I watch with her.
What are your favorite books?
Video game strategy guides for Nintendo for finding the right puzzles and locations to complete games because they’re hard to do.
What are your favorite places to go?
Game Stop, BestBuy, Barnes & Noble, and sporting good stores.
What is one place you have not visited that you want to visit most?
Retro video game store. Nintendo 64 and Game Cube Advanced are hard to find.
What is your favorite sport to play? To watch?
Bowling and sometimes track and field. In high school, I was on the Oyster Bay Baymen men’s track team where I competed in the 500 and 100 meter and 200-meter dash.
What teams do you root for?
New York Islanders
Morning person or night owl?
Morning person.
Star Trek or Star Wars?
Star Wars – I’ve seen nine Star Wars movies.
What are your favorite foods?
Pizza or fries. I also like the garlic knots at La Scala in Commack.
