Meet A Happy Employee at John’s Crazy Socks – John S.

Sock Wrangler, John S. has been working at John’s Crazy Socks since 2018. After some training to learn how to pick a sock order, John passed the sock wrangler test with flying colors. We delivered the news that John was now a John’s Crazy Socks employee and grabbed this picture of his reaction. How’s that for spreading happiness?

John enjoys joining in on the John’s Crazy Socks dance parties, working with other employees, and being a sock wrangler. You can join the online dance parties on Tuesdays at 3:00 EST. Check the dance party schedulehere. They may even dance to Mama Mia, one of John’s favorites.

Outside of work, John plays the electric guitar. Band members Kevin (acoustic guitar), George (drums and bongos) and singers Catarina, Jasmine, and Vanessa formed the band Dangerous Alliance after meeting through Rock and Roll University. At Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub in Smithtown, they perform songs by Linkin Park, Hanson, Bob Seger, and The Beatles. On Tuesday nights, John continues to take guitar lessons.

John S. is also a Special Olympics athlete. His floor hockey team, The Babylon Bobcats, and his softball team, The Central Suffolk Challengers, have traveled to Syracuse and Rochester to compete in the New York State Games.

When the John’s Crazy Socks team recently enjoyed a night of bowling, we discovered that John is a superstar at bowling, as well. He brought three of his own bowling balls, which should have been our first clue. Even after his favorite, monogrammed, green ball went missing, John bowled strike after strike. His highest score has been 267. Go John!

Every day, John shows what's possible when you give a person with a differing ability a chance
