John Receives Thank You Letter from President Biden

President Joe Biden made one young entrepreneur very happy today simply by saying thank you. President Biden sent a letter to John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, to thank John for a collection of socks that John had sent the President. The letter sent John over the moon.

This all started shortly after the President took office. John saw news stories about President Joe Biden’s love of colorful socks. John immediately said, “We should send him some socks.” John loves his socks and loves to see other people wear fun and beautiful socks.

President Biden likes to wear socks featuring dogs because dogs have long been part of his family. Therefore, John put together a collection of his dog socks including some of his Pet Rescue Socks that raise money and awareness for the North Shore Animal League America, the largest no-kill, pet rescue organization in the world. And Joe added some of his favorite socks, including his Down Syndrome Superhero Socks.

Today, John received a warm and lovely thank you letter from the President. “Thank you for sending such a thoughtful gift,” the President wrote.

In addition to sending a collection of dog socks, John has also sent the President a pair of his Unity Socks that John has made for every member of Congress. John said, “I made the Unity Socks to bring people together, to show that we can all get along. I wanted to make sure President Biden had a pair of those socks.”

Mark X. Cronin, John’s Dad and co-founder, said, “It is an honor and a thrill to see my son connect with Presidents and former Presidents. John respects them for their position and achievements, but also relates to them at a personal level. He thinks of it as John sending socks to Joe because both he and Joe loves socks, and he wants Joe to be happy.”

This is not the first contact that John has had with a president or national leader. John has sent socks and received warm thank you notes from former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. He also sent socks to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who has worn them and thanked John for his socks.

Most famously, John had become sock buddies with former President George H.W. Bush. The two exchanged letters and socks and the former President tweeted photos of him wearing John’s socks. They bonded over the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), which President George H., W. Bush signed into legislation. The ADA made it possible for John to receive the education he did and led to the opening of John’s Crazy Socks. John created George Bush Tribute Socks and Barbara Bush Library for Literacy Socks that raise money for the Barbra Bush Family Literacy Foundation.
