Yesterday, we held a ribbon cutting and officially opened the doors to our brand-new Warehouse Store at John’s Crazy Socks. It was an all-day celebration with dancing, music, fun and, of course, socks, socks and more socks.
A Ribbon Cutting for our Warehouse Store
We always want to do things in a big way, and we are always looking for ways to throw a party. We opened our Warehouse Store as part of our two-day celebration for World Down Syndrome Day. We staged a ribbon cutting ceremony complete with big scissors that John used to cut the red ribbon.

We have been fortunate with the support of many elected officials and some of them joined us for the grand opening. Council Members DuWayne Gregory and Terence McSweeney from the Town of Babylon and Council Members Dr. Dave Bennardo and Sal Ferro from the Town of Huntington joined the festivities. They even brought proclamations to celebrate our store opening!

Hundreds of customers joined the party and shopped at the new store. We are so grateful for the support we receive from our customers.

More Than a Store—A Place to Connect
Since the day we opened John’s Crazy Socks, customers have asked us, “When will you open a store?” For over eight years, we have only sold our socks online. Now we’ve can sell our socks in person.
John Cronin, our co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer, said, “We love our customers and always want to take care of them. They wanted us to open a store and that’s what we have done.”
Our Warehouse Store isn’t just a place to shop, it’s a chance to connect. Customers can meet John and take pictures with him. They can meet our Sock Wrangler and see first-hand the work people with differing abilities can do. And they can see our operations in action. It is not just shopping; it is an experience.

We host tours and workgroups here all the time, and now those visitors can buy their favorite socks right on the spot.
John said, “I am very excited about opening our warehouse store. I love meeting our customers.”

A Better Way to Serve Our Community
This new store helps us meet customers face-to-face. We get to hear their stories, learn what socks they love, and find out what they want us to do next. That makes us better and stronger.
Mark X. Cronin, John’s co-founder and Dad, said, “The warehouse store gives us a new way to take care of our customers. And it creates more work for people with differing abilities.”
It also gives us hands-on experience running a retail space. That helps as we explore opening our own retail store one day and improves how we work with other retailers who carry our socks.

Creating More Jobs—and More Smiles
Opening the Warehouse Store means we can offer more work hours to our team, especially our colleagues with differing abilities. It gives them valuable experience in a retail setting, which opens up even more career paths and growth opportunities.
Creating a warehouse store is all part of our mission to show what people with differing abilities can do. And it is part of our commitment to spread happiness. We could see the happiness on the faces of the hundreds of people who came for our grand opening and we can’t wait to see customers on a daily basis.
