John here. My Dad and I spoke with students and parents last night in Montgomery, Maryland. I got asked for my advice on how to be happy. I told them, “Do for others and gratitude.” That’s what we do at John’s Crazy Socks. We are so thankful for all the things we get to do – sharing our love of socks, the speaking engagements, the dance parties, meeting new people, giving people jobs and all the fun we have at work. And we always do for others. That’s why we have our Giving Back Program.
I am a Special Olympic athlete and love the Special Olympics, so we give 5 percent from our Sock of the Month Club to the Special Olympics and 5 percent of our profits to the Special Olympics. We make special socks that raise money for our charity partners like the National Down Syndrome Society, United Cerebral Palsy, The Autism Society of America, the American Nurses Foundation and the North Shore Animal League. We sponsor our Autism Can Do Scholarship. And we donate boxes of socks to charities. These things make me so happy. Like my Dad says, the more we do for others, the better off we are.
Thank you for your support. Without you, there would be no Giving Back Program and no John’s Crazy Socks. You make everything possible for us.
