Giving Back Report for May 2017 - Johns Crazy Socks

Giving Back Report for May 2017

We expanded our Giving Back Program in May by adding two new projects:

  • The Williams Syndrome Awareness Socks which raise money for the Williams Syndrome Association
  • Our Sock of the Month Subscription, 5 percent of which goes to the Special Olympics

In May, we raised $2,709.15 for our charity partners. Giving Back is an essential part of our mission and our ability to raise both awareness and money for our charity partners makes us happy.

Our Giving Pack Program

From the beginning, we have made Giving Back an essential part of our business. We have benefited from the support of so many people, that it is only natural that we should help others as well. We have found that the more we do for others, the better off we are.

Before we opened for business in December 2016, we pledge 5 percent of our earnings to the Special Olympics. John is a Special Olympics athlete and Mark as well as John’s two older brothers have all coached in the Special Olympics. We have seen the wonderful impact the Special Olympics has on all involved.

In recent months, we have expanded our Giving Back Program by creating a series of Awareness and Charity Socks that raise money for our charity partners. Our Awareness Socks are our best-selling socks in part because our customers know that money spent on those socks will go to their favorite charities. Nothing makes us happier than to help raise money for our charity partners.

Our co-founder and inspiration, John Cronin, has set the direction for our Giving Back Program. John always wants to do for others. Since John has Down syndrome, we selected charities that work with the disabled or have a special connection to our organization or family. We thank each customer for their generosity in supporting our business and our charity partners.
