The dream is real. John's Crazy Socks has come home.
On June 25, 2026, we officially opened the doors of our brand-new retail store at 328A Main Street, Huntington Village and the community showed up in a way that took our breath away.
Several hundred people came out to celebrate with us. So many, in fact, that we moved the ribbon cutting right outside to the front of the store, onto the street where it all began. It was exactly the kind of moment we had dreamed about.
A Homecoming
John's Crazy Socks was born in Huntington. John and his father, Mark X. Cronin, live here. John went to school here. This is home. And now, after nearly nine years of shipping happiness to customers in 94 countries, we have a place where Huntington can come to us.
Mark X Cronin, who served as MC for the event, put it simply: "We started our business in Huntington and now we have returned to Huntington Village. We are so excited to be back! For years, people have been asking us to open a retail store, and now we have done it. This allows customers to come in and not only buy socks, but to experience the joy of John's Crazy Socks. It allows us to welcome people with differing abilities so they can see other people like them working and owning a business. It allows us to engage with the community. Wahooo!"
The Community Came Out
The support from our elected officials was extraordinary. State Senator Mario Mattera joined us, along with Suffolk County Legislators Stephanie Bontempe and Rebecca Sanin. From the Town of Huntington, we were honored to have Board Member Dr. David Bernardo, Town Clerk Andrew Rea, and Receiver of Taxes Jillian Guthman. Each of them presented John with a proclamation, which John shared with his colleagues. “They do the work that makes this possible, said John.”
Senator Mattera spoke directly to what this store represents: "This is so important because you make a difference in so many lives and you spread happiness, and we need happiness now more than ever."
We couldn't agree more.
Huntington Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Cassidy and Administrator Kelly Smith were also there, and Kelly captured the energy of the day perfectly: "The grand opening ribbon-cutting celebration for John's Crazy Socks' brand-new retail store was nothing short of magical! The energy was absolutely electric, the crowd was vibrant, and true to their mission, pure happiness was spreading like wildfire among everyone who walked through the doors. John and his team know how to throw a party!"
John Was Home
John Cronin, our co-founder, President, CEO, and Chief Happiness Officer, was beaming. "I am so happy to be back in Huntington," he told the crowd. He gave a special shout-out to his high school teacher, Dr. Murphy Jessen, who came out to celebrate with him. And he thanked his colleagues, the Sock Wranglers and team members who stood beside him to accept the proclamations from our elected officials. It was a team moment, through and through.
One customer summed up exactly what we hoped everyone would feel walking through the door: "Just walking in here makes me happy. All the bright colors, the socks and so many happy people."
Another longtime fan traveled to be there: "I have followed you for years. I wouldn't miss this. What a wonderful event."

More Than a Store
The space at 328A Main Street is bigger than a retail store. Under one roof, we have our fulfillment center, where our Sock Wranglers pick, pack, and ship orders every day, along with our brand-new podcast studio. And next year, we will open our Job Training Academy, a program to train people with differing abilities for careers in warehouse and retail work.
This is the mission made real. In one building, in one community, we are creating jobs, spreading happiness, and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
Come See Us
The store is open. John is here. The socks are waiting.
Come visit us at 328A Main Street, right in the heart of Huntington Village. We promise you will leave smiling.
Spreading happiness, one pair of socks at a time.
