How does John's Crazy Socks spread happiness?

Our mission is simple: we're spreading happiness. John Cronin, who has Down syndrome, started John's Crazy Socks with his father, Mark, in the fall of 2016. More than half of our colleagues have a differing ability.

Jobs like these are still scarce. In 2025, people with a disability had an unemployment rate of 8.3%, about twice the 4.1% rate for people without a disability, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

We give 5% of our earnings to Special Olympics, and our charity socks send 10% to partners like North Shore Animal League America. Altogether we've raised more than $800,000 for our charity partners. Every package also gets candy and a handwritten thank-you note from John.
