Special Delivery of Crazy Socks for President George H.W. Bush
Adding a Personal Touch
In a letter included in the gift box to George H.W. Bush, our co-founder, Mark X. Cronin wrote, “We are John’s Crazy Socks, an online store founded by a father-son team. John (the son), is 21 years old and has Down syndrome. Like you, he has long loved wearing fun socks, or what he calls, his crazy socks.” He went on to explain the charities we are partnered with and why we want to give back and spread awareness for causes we care about.
“You spent much of your life demonstrating what is possible right up to parachuting out of planes on your birthday. Each day, we demonstrate what people can do through John’s participation in running our business and the colleagues with special needs who make contributions each day to our business. Of our 20 employees, four are on the Autism spectrum.
Throughout your career, you showed how the more we can do for others, the better off we are. That is how we run John’s Crazy Socks. We want to do more for our customers, employees and community. The more we can do for others, the more our business flourishes.”
We hope 41 loves the socks.
Socks for our 41st President
We chose seven socks that we thought best represented President Bush.
Texas, known as home to the nation’s best BBQ, is also home to President Bush and his family today. We included a pair of fun BBQ crew socks as a nod to the state’s great food and culture. Hopefully the president will pull them on before he fires up the grill!
Next on our list are a pair of socks we hope our former President wears with Pride and remembers his time serving our country. The Republican crew socks are the perfect political fashion go-to.
As it is Autism Awareness month, we wanted to send our Autism Awareness Socks to 41 to include him in our efforts to spread awareness. The Autism Awareness Socks were one of our first awareness socks as it is a cause close to our hearts. $2 from every purchase is donated to Autism Speaks and the Autism Society of America (Nassau/Suffolk County Chapter)
