We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.

We made these Shark Crew Socks for John's Special Olympic Team, the Commack Sharks. They were made with all the tender, loving care you would expect. And we donate 10 percent from the sale of each pair to the Special Olympics. When John saw the socks, he said, "I love it!"
We love the Special Olympics and have seen the joy it brings to the athletes and all who participate. Special Olympics is a life-changing organization that promotes understanding and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities. The organization provides year-round training in Olympic style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Their programming promotes physical fitness, confidence, courage, and connection among people with and without disabilities. Athletes build team skills, personal resilience, and problem solving skills during the games, but most importantly they have fun. Because who doesn’t enjoy getting out there with friends and being the best you can be?
