John’s Crazy Socks Commitment to Being a Good Corporate Citizen

At John's Crazy Socks, we believe that believe being a good corporate citizen is important to our mission. We are a social enterprise with both a social and a business purpose. We want to show the world what people with a differing ability can achieve and Giving Back is baked into everything we do.

While we are a national company, engaging in our community is important to us. We are members and work with the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and the Melville Chamber of Commerce.  In November, Mark will be come a Board member with the Huntington Chamber. We are also active members of the Long Island Association. We work with many local non-profits donating money and time to support their work. In particular, we work with social service agencies supporting people with intellectual development disabilities offering tours, work groups and job training.

About John’s Crazy Socks

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $550,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America. Most of all, they are Spreading Happiness™.
