Today, we are thrilled to share a milestone that has us dancing with joy: through our Giving Back Program, we’ve donated $800,000 to our charity partners, bringing smiles and making a difference in countless lives. 

The Heart of Giving Back 

Our co-founder John Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, often says, “The keys to happiness are gratitude and doing for others.” That belief inspires everything we do, especially our Giving Back Program. We’ve built it into the very fabric of our company—pun intended! Every purchase you make supports this mission, connecting your socks to something greater than fashion. 

From the day we opened, we pledged to donate 5% of our earnings to the Special Olympics. Why the Special Olympics? Because John is a Special Olympic athlete, as are many of our colleagues, the Special Olympics has made a difference in their lives.  But we didn’t stop there. 

We have created products that raise awareness, celebrate causes, and raise money for those causes. The first Awareness Socks we created were Down Syndrome Awareness Socks and John designed those socks. We donate 10 percent from the sale of those socks to the National Down Syndrome Society and ACDS, a local organization serving the Down syndrome community.  

We have gone on to create a long line of awareness socks celebrating Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Williams Syndrome as well as causes like Pet Adoption, and honoring workers like Fire, Police EMTs, and healthcare workers.  These socks include our Autism Awareness Socks, Healthcare Superhero Socks, and Firefighter Tribute Socks.  

How We Give Back 

Here’s how your support helps us give back: 

• Earnings Donations: 5% of our profits go directly to the Special Olympics. 

• Sock of the Month Club: With every subscription, 5% is donated to support Special Olympics programs. 

• Awareness Socks: From Autism Awareness to Wheels on Fire Socks, these special designs donate 10% of sales to charity partners​​. 

• Autism Can Do Scholarship: Every year, we sponsor an Autism Can Do Scholarship  

• Sock Donations: We contribute boxes of socks to nonprofit fundraising events like raffles and auctions. 

• Special Events: On John Day (August 11), Giving Back Tuesday, John’s Birthday (February 11), and World Down Syndrome Day, we donate $1 for every order to a charity partner.  

• Sponsoring Events: We sponsor events with charity partners and local organizations.

Each pair of socks tells a story. For example, our Shark Socks celebrate John’s love for his basketball and track team, the Commack Sharks, while raising funds for Special Olympics New York. Our Braille Socks, featuring tactile lettering, support the Guide Dog Foundation and promote inclusivity​​.
