John Cronin delivered another donation check to the Special Olympics on Wednesday on behalf of John's Crazy Socks. What makes this donation all the more sweet is that John is not only the co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, but he is a Special Olympic athlete too.
“I love the Special Olympics,” said John Cronin, “It is very important that we give back to them.”
Rebecca Hoffman received the donation for the Special Olympics and said, “We appreciate this donation and all the support that John’s Crazy Socks gives to the Special Olympics.”

“I love being a Special Olympic athlete,” said John Cronin. “I play basketball, soccer, track and field and snowshoe. I have been a Special Olympic athlete for 21 years.”
From the first day that John and his father, Mark X. Cronin, opened their online sock store, they have made supporting the Special Olympics part of the experience at John’s Crazy Socks. Mark explained, “From day one, we pledged five percent of our earnings to the Special Olympics. We made that promise to show our gratitude for how much the Special Olympics has done for John, our colleagues who are also Special Olympic athletes and thousands of athletes. Mark said, “John has gained endless experiences, confidence and lessons from participating in the Special Olympics all of which put John in a position to start John’s Crazy Socks.”
