Celebrating Eight Years of Spreading Happiness: John’s Crazy Socks Anniversary Party and Warehouse Sale!

Last Saturday, December 7, we threw open our warehouse doors to celebrate eight amazing years of spreading happiness atJohn’s Crazy Socks! Hundreds of our friends, supporters, and sock lovers joined us for a day filled with festive fun, heartfelt gratitude, and, of course, lots of socks.

A Festive Day to Remember

Our warehouse was buzzing with holiday spirit. Guests had the chance to meet John, our co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer, and take photos with Santa himself. We even held a Ho-Ho-Ho contest to see who could best channel their inner Santa Claus!

Adding to the joy, Christmas music filled the air, and classic holiday movie scenes played in the background, creating a cozy, nostalgic vibe. We had two food trucks offering tasty treats to keep our visitors fueled for fun and shopping.

John shared his excitement: “It was awesome to meet everyone! I loved seeing all the smiles and hearing people say how much they love our socks. We had so much fun together!”

Honoring Our Community

The day wasn’t just about fun—it was about gratitude. We were thrilled to welcome many local elected officials who stopped by to show their support and join the celebration:

  • Councilman Dwayne Gregory presented a proclamation from the Town of Babylon.
  • Suffolk County Legislators Tom Donnelly and Jason Richberg took time to celebrate with us.
  • State Assemblyman Keith Brown andJillian Guthman from the Town of Huntington also paid visits, adding to the day’s warmth and recognition.

“Every year, we’re reminded of the incredible community that supports us,” said Mark X. Cronin, John’s dad and co-founder. “We couldn’t do what we do without you, and this event is our way of saying thank you. You are the heart of John’s Crazy Socks.”

John and Mark from John’s Crazy Socks received a proclamation and Certificate of Appreciation from Dwayne Gregory, recognizing their contributions to the community.

A Day of Shopping and Giving Back

This event wasn’t just about celebrating—it was also the perfect opportunity for holiday shopping. Visitors enjoyed exclusive discounts and discovered unique socks and gifts for their loved ones. Many shared how they look forward to this event every year to stock up on gifts while supporting our mission.

And the giving didn’t stop there! Thanks to everyone who shopped with us, we continued to raise funds for our charity partners, furthering our mission of giving back and spreading happiness.

Thank You for Eight Wonderful Years

To everyone who came out to celebrate with us, thank you. Whether you joined us in person or supported us online, you are part of our journey and the reason we do what we do. As John always says, “Gratitude and doing for others are the keys to happiness.”

Here’s to many more years of sharing our love, making connections, and spreading happiness —one pair of socks at a time.

About John’s Crazy Socks

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with the mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half of their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $800,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America. Most of all, they are Spreading Happiness™.
