What started as a dream when John was in Huntington High School has now grown into the World’s Largest Sock Store. Co-founder John Cronin says, “I love socks and I told my father I wanted to sell socks. And I wanted to make people happy. We have a mission to spread happiness.”
John and his father started the business in temporary office space in Huntington Village and now their social enterprise is recognized around the world. And we stay true to our promises: more than half our employees have a differing ability and Giving Back is baked into everything we do. We have donated over $450,000 to our charity partners like the Special Olympics, the Autism Society of America and the National Down Syndrome Society.
We invite all our friends, neighbors and supporters to join us:
When: Saturday, December 11, 2021
What Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: John’s Crazy Socks at 40 Republic Road, Melville, NY 11747 (around the corner from Costco).
John’s co-founder and father, Mark X. Cronin, said, “The reality is that most businesses fail within the first three years of opening, so we are grateful to still be thriving and growing after five years. We have such great opportunities as we have hosted over 300 school tours, seen more than 250 students come through our doors as part of work groups, shipped over 350,000 packages to 88 different countries, reached millions of people online, testified twice before Congress and spoken at the United Nations. We have been fortunate and want to share our joy with others.”
