This week, we're taking that mission to heart by launching a special fundraising initiative as part of our Christmas in July Sale.
From Monday, July 21, through Saturday, July 26, we're donating $1 for every order placed in our online store and in our warehouse store to Special Olympics New York.
That means every sock you buy this week helps empower athletes of all abilities to compete, connect, and thrive.
Why the Special Olympics Matters to Us
The Special Olympics is close to our hearts. Our co-founder, John Cronin, is a proud Special Olympics athlete. He competes in basketball, track, soccer, and snowshoe. Special Olympics enables John to build friendships, gain confidence, and demonstrate to the world what people with diverse abilities can accomplish. Without the Special Olympics, there would be no John's Crazy Socks.
Many of our colleagues at John's Crazy Socks are also Special Olympics athletes. And Jamie and Mark both coach in the Special Olympics. These programs have changed their lives, and we want to help the Special Olympics continue to change lives for thousands more.
That's why we made the Special Olympics one of our core charity partners. With your support, John has now donated over $150,000 to Special Olympics New York. And it's why we're making this week's sale about more than just socks. We have turned our sale into a fundraiser for the Special Olympics.
