At John’s Crazy Socks, we believe in working hard and having fun—and last night’s Bowling Night with our Sock Wranglers proved just that! We gathered our incredible team at the Bowlmor alley in Melville for a much-deserved evening of laughter, pizza, and some friendly competition. After all, creating the world’s best socks can’t be all work and no play!
Our Sock Wranglers are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring each package is packed with love, a thank-you note, and some sweet treats. But more than that, they represent the spirit of inclusion and joy that drives John’s Crazy Socks. That’s why we make it a priority to ensure John’s Crazy Socks is not just a workplace, but a place where our team feels valued, appreciated, and—most importantly—happy.
Pizza, Pins, and Plenty of Laughs
The night kicked off with everyone grabbing a slice of bowling alley pizza (because no bowling night is complete without it!). From there, it was game on! The pins didn’t stand a chance against our Sock Wranglers, who brought the same energy and teamwork to the lanes as they do to the sock-packing line.
But the night wasn’t just about strikes and spares. It was about connecting with each other outside of work, sharing smiles, and creating memories. We believe that a great workplace is one where people feel part of a community, and events like these strengthen the bonds that make our team so special.
Why We Do It
At John’s Crazy Socks, we’re committed to making sure every team member feels like they belong. Our mission has always been about more than just selling socks—it’s about spreading happiness and showing the world what people with differing abilities can achieve. More than half of our colleagues have a differing ability, and they are the reason why John’s Crazy Socks is such a great place to work.
When our Sock Wranglers aren’t knocking down pins, they’re helping us pack orders with a personal touch, and making sure our socks spread happiness across the country. These events remind us that while we work hard, it’s just as important to take time to celebrate each other and the incredible work we do together.
Join the Fun and Support Our Mission
John’s Crazy Socks isn’t just a sock company—we’re a movement for inclusion and happiness. We love what we do, and our Bowling Night is just one of the ways we make John’s Crazy Socks a great place to work. When you buy our socks, you’re helping us create jobs for people with differing abilities, support our charity partners, and most of all, spread happiness.
So next time you’re looking for a fun pair of socks, remember—you’re also joining us in building a workplace where everyone can thrive.

About John’s Crazy Socks
John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $750,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America. Most of all, we are Spreading Happiness™.
