John and Mark do all they can to support entrepreneurship for people with differing abilities. Therefore, they love the idea of Celebrate Shop, an event hosted by Celebrate EDU, an organization that supports entrepreneurs with disabilities. John and Mark are heading to the event to join the panels, sell socks and John’s books, and meet with customers.
“I can’t wait,” said John. “This will be so much fun, and we will meet so many wonderful people.”
You can meet up with John and Mark at the Celebrate Shop on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Curtis Hotel, 1405 Curtis Street, Denver, Colorado.

What’s Happening at Celebrate Shop?
On Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, the Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver will transform into a hub of creativity and commerce. Over 30 entrepreneurs with disabilities will showcase their businesses offering everything from gourmet snacks and handmade art to pet products and, yes, socks.
There will be:
-
A grand opening balloon drop
-
Multiple entrepreneur showcases (John will be featured!)
-
Panel discussions on entrepreneurship and inclusion (we’ll both be speaking)
-
And a pop-up shop full of one-of-a-kind products, all from people with differing abilities
John’s Role: Featured Entrepreneur
John will share the story of John’s Crazy Socks, how we started with a dream and some crazy socks, and how that dream grew into the world’s largest sock store with a mission to spread happiness. He’ll be on stage during the Entrepreneur Showcase on Sunday at 1:00 PM, joining other talented business owners who are breaking barriers and building futures.
John and Mark Will Be Speaking Too
Mark will speak on the Parent Panel on Saturday morning, where he will discuss the journey with John, starting with the challenges John faced at birth and sharing what it means to support a loved one with a differing ability in building their own business. Later, John and Mark will both participate in the Entrepreneur & Family Panel, diving into what it really takes to turn a dream into a thriving business.
These conversations aren’t just about our story; they’re about what’s possible for your family, community, or organization.

Why This Event Matters
Celebrate Shop isn’t just a marketplace; it’s a beacon for all to see what people with differing abilities can achieve. It’s further evidence that entrepreneurship can be a powerful option for individuals with disabilities, particularly when traditional employment paths are unavailable or insufficient. It’s about creating opportunity, building confidence, and showing the world that ability matters more than disability.
This event aligns perfectly with the work we do at Abilities Rising, our new initiative to support and amplify entrepreneurs with differing abilities. The future of business is inclusive, and events like this are leading the way.
