Spreading Happiness at the Huntington Art Crawl: John Picks Up a Paintbrush!

At  John’s Crazy Socks, we believe in doing good, sharing joy, and being part of our community. This past Saturday, we had a chance to do all three at the  5th Annual Huntington Art Crawl, and what  fun we had!

A Colorful Day in the Heart of Huntington

Hosted by the  Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, the Art Crawl transformed  Huntington Village into a living, breathing art exhibit for people to explore and enjoy From live music and mural painting to  an art-themed scavenger hunt to  local crafts and kids’ activities, the day had something for everyone.

And  who could you find in the middle of it all?  John Cronin, our Co-Founder and Chief Happiness Officer, along with his parents,  Carol and Mark, who is also  a board member of the Chamber.

Volunteering, Painting, and Pure Joy

John and his family started the day volunteering at the Pop-Up Art Market on the lawn of St. John's Episcopal Church.  John stood at the entrance greeting visitors and waving down passers-by to join the fun. Mark and Carol worked with other volunteers to support the artists and to answer questions from visitors.

But John  didn’t  stop at volunteering. Inspired by the energy of the day joined the live mural project at Artist Alley. With a brush in hand, John added his own touch to the community mural led by Huntington artist Anna Edwards.

I had so much fun,” John said. “I loved seeing all the artwork.”

Later in the day, the  Cronins joined the Food and Art Tour, visiting local restaurants, enjoying live music, and connecting with fellow art lovers and neighbors.

It is important to give back and support our community,” John said. And  that’s exactly what the day was all about.

The Art Crawl is more than just a celebration of  creativity it’s a reminder of the power of  communityIt’s about lifting each other up, creating space for everyone, and spreading joy in every way we can.

Whether  it’s through socks, stories, or brushstrokes, John is always ready to make a difference.

Remember, every sock you buy at  John’s Crazy Socks supports our mission of Spreading Happiness and celebrating what people with differing abilities can achieve.

Because as John reminds us:  The keys to happiness are gratitude and doing for others.”
