John’s Big Saturday: A Day of Fun, Food, and New Adventures

At  John’s Crazy Socks, we work hard, and we celebrate even harder. No one lives that better than our co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer, John Cronin. While John spends his weekdays spreading happiness at our warehouse, filming videos, designing socks, talking to customers,  and helping fulfill orders, when Saturday comes around, John knows how to embrace the joy of the weekend.

This past Saturday, John set out on an epic adventure filled with food, animals, science, and even a trip to Chinatown. We captured every moment—because life is better when we share the joy.

Starting with a Long Island Classic

Every great Saturday starts with a good breakfast, and for John, that means one thing: a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. It’s a New York staple, and Long Island might just do it best. He grabbed breakfast at his favorite deli,  Gold Coast Deli. He loves his bacon, egg,  and cheese sandwiches.

Safari Time: Up Close with John’s Favorite Animals

From breakfast, we headed to  Six Flags’ Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure. John was excited from the moment we arrived, and his enthusiasm only grew as we toured the park. We saw giraffes, elephants, lions, tigers, and more—but the real highlight? The bison. They’re John’s favorite, ever since a childhood visit to Yellowstone.

Whether it was spotting an ostrich or smiling at a bear lounging in the sun, John was fully present and soaking in the experience.

Exploring the Liberty Science Center

Next stop: the  Liberty Science Center. From the moment we stepped in, John was ready to learn, laugh, and explore. He planned this visit especially for their planetarium show, so catching a 3D movie that dove deep into the world beneath the ocean was a bonus. One unexpected favorite? An exhibit all about burping. Yes, burpingJohn considers himself a world-class burper.

John’s curiosity and joy for learning are part of what makes him such a great leader. Whether in the warehouse or at a science center, he’s always ready to discover something new.

Wrapping Up in Chinatown

We finished the day with a stroll through  New York City’s Chinatown. John enjoyed the sights and sounds, and we picked up a dinner of dumplings and pork buns.

Why This Matters

John’s Saturday wasn’t just a fun day off. It was a celebration of joy, curiosity, and being fully present in the moment—qualities he brings to work every day. At  John’s Crazy Socks, we believe in working with purpose and living with joy. John shows us how to do both. He understands the work-life balance and serves as a role model for us.

Because spreading happiness doesn’t stop at the office—it’s a way of life.
