We’re thrilled to share that John Cronin, co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer of John’s Crazy Socks, will once again be featured in the National Down Syndrome Society’s Times Square Video Presentation!
This moving video will shine from the big screens in Times Square from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., kicking off a full day of celebration with the New York City Buddy Walk®.
The one-hour presentation features over 500 photographs of individuals with Down syndrome from all over the world. John’s photo will be among them, reminding the world of what’s possible when we focus on ability, not limitations.
“I love the Times Square video,” says John. “It brings together hundreds of people in the Down syndrome community. We have a great, big celebration in Times Square. I love seeing so many friends, I would never miss it.”
A Celebration in Central Park
After the Times Square screening, John and his family will head to Central Park for the NYC Buddy Walk, hosted at the Naumburg Bandshell. This annual event brings thousands of people together for music, dancing, and a powerful show of community. John will be there walking, greeting friends and fans, and spreading happiness.
John’s Crazy Socks will have a booth at the event stocked with our Down Syndrome Awareness Socks, including the Down Syndrome Superhero Socks, and our Buddy Walk Socks, all of which help raise funds for NDSS.
A Deep Partnership with NDSS
John and John’s Crazy Socks have a long-standing relationship with NDSS. From advocacy on Capitol Hill to sock design fundraisers to speaking engagements, John is proud to support NDSS’s mission year-round.
John serves on the NDSS Board of Directors and has designed the world’s first Down Syndrome Awareness Socks, raising both funds and awareness since 2017.
