As business owners, John and Mark believe it is important to engage in our community. They are active with the Huntington Chamber of Commerce; in fact, Mark serves on the board. They volunteer for community events like the Huntington Art Crawl. They support local businesses.

John and Mark are fans of the Walt Whitman birthplace. Whitman is Mark’s favorite poet (John’s is Edgar Allen Poe). Mark and Carol included a reading from Whitman’s “Song of Myself” in their wedding. John’s Crazy Socks has made custom socks for the Walt Whitman Birthplace.

When they received an invitation to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit at the birthplace museum, John and Mark were only too happy to join. It was a fun event. It’s a way to engage in the community and to keep Walt alive.
