12 Days of Giving: John’s Crazy Socks Supports the American Cancer Society

On the third day of our 12 Days of Giving, John’s Crazy Socks is supporting a critically important charity partner: the American Cancer Society. For every order we receive on Saturday, December 3, 2022, we will donate $1 to the American Cancer Society.

In 2021, John’s Crazy Socks made a commitment to support the American Cancer Society’s Gold Together Campaign which honors children and their families as they battle cancer, celebrates those who beat it and supports research to defeat it.

Buy These Socks and Make a Difference

John’s Crazy Socks created a line of Gold Together Socks that celebrate the Gold Together campaign. We donate 10 percent from the sale of those socks to the Gold Together campaign. John has delivered socks to children’s hospitals where children with cancer receive medical treatment.

“I know it is hard for children to be in the hospital. I want them to get better, I want them to feel happy,” said John Cronin, the Co-Founder and inspiration for John’s Crazy Socks. “That’s why I made these socks.”

In addition to the socks, John’s Crazy Socks customers can turn their Loyalty and Reward points into a donation to the Gold Together Campaign and can make an additional donation to the American Cancer Society when purchasing socks.

John’s co-founder and father, Mark X. Cronin said, “The more we do for others, the better off we are. Through our 12 Days of Giving, our customers not only get great socks, they also support these wonderful charity partners.”

The 12 Days of Giving is part of the Giving Back program at John’s Crazy Socks. John says, “Giving back is part of everything we do.”

The American Cancer Society’s Gold Together Campaign

Childhood brain cancer survivor Cole Eicher created the Gold Together movement. He had a vision to raise childhood cancer awareness, support families facing childhood cancer, and connect those families to a lifetime of resources through the American Cancer Society.

John met with Cole and committed to creating Gold Together Socks that raise awareness about pediatric cancer and funds for the American Cancer Society.

Cole said, “I love the Gold Together socks, they are so cool and will make a difference in our campaign.”

About the Gold Together Campaign

As the American Cancer Society’s childhood cancer initiative, Gold Together empowers individuals to help raise funds to directly support research, education, advocacy, and services, as well as promote cancer prevention efforts that could reduce children’s risk for cancer later in life. About John’s Crazy Socks

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks—what he calls his “crazy socks.” He and his father, Mark X. Cronin, started the company as a social enterprise with a mission of Spreading Happiness™. With more than 4,000 socks, John’s Crazy Socks is now the world’s largest sock store. More than half their employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $550,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America. Most of all, they are Spreading Happiness™.
