The 3-21 represents both World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) and the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome carry. Most of us are born with 23 pairs of chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome are born with a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21, thus 3-21.
Did you know? John's Crazy Socks was co-founded and inspired by John Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome. John is an excellent example of how people with Down syndrome attend school, work, and contribute to society in many meaningful ways. We donate 10% from the sale of every pair of these socks to support Down syndrome causes. The money goes to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and the ACDS.
