My students explored all the marketing that goes into his operation down to the surprise and personal message. I chose the elephant sock because an elephant is our mascot. It was our first lesson in virtual distance learning because of the coronavirus. It gave the students a lift. Some personally emailed how moved they were. One student will be picked to receive the socks that I will send in the mail. We did not anticipate that we may never be back in the classroom.
