After nine wonderful years of shipping socks around the world, creating meaningful jobs, and spreading happiness, we’ve decided to pause our direct-to-consumer online store.
This pause is intentional.
We’re taking time to reflect on everything we’ve learned, streamline what worked best, and rebuild the store so we can be stronger, more focused, and even more joyful. When we return in 2026, it will be with an updated version of John’s Crazy Socks, rooted in the same mission we’ve always had: spreading happiness and showing what people with differing abilities can do.
In the meantime:
Most importantly, John’s Crazy Socks is not closing.

Our Braille Crew Socks were created to recognize individuals with visual impairments. We are so excited to introduce these one-of-a-kind creation!
The unique design, in classic black and white, features the entire alphabet with the Braille equivalent and has the powerful message of "INSPIRE" in Braille around the top band.
The inspiration for this sock design came from the second place winner of the 2023 Autism Can Do scholarship competition where individuals with Autism submitted a sock design as part of the application for the scholarship. This design was created by Holly Connor of Clayton, Missouri! Holly won a $2,500 scholarship to use for post-high school education.
This is an addition to our "awareness" collection of socks. We donate 10% from the sale of every pair of these socks to the Guide Dog Foundation, an organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people who are blind, have low vision, or have other disabilities.
